Student Mentoring - Eagle Scout Community Service

In conjunction with the Village of New Albany Public Schools, I served as a mentor to a student who was seeking  community service merit as an Eagle Scout.  The project he chose was to design an accessible overlook platform that would provide a wetland viewing location and also function as an outdoor classroom for the high school science classes.  Additionally, the platform would serve to screen a stormwater outfall.  The student and I worked together one day a week through the semester.  We began with concept sketches and proceeded through construction plans.
