Bevelhymer Park Bevelhymer Park was the first undertaking of the newly formed New Albany Plain Local Joint Parks District. The Parks District is a three-way partnership of the Village of New Albany, the New Albany Schools and Plain Township. The program for the park included baseball and soccer fields, tennis and volleyball courts, recreation paths and play areas. Also, with the cooperation of the Ohio Department of Natural Resources, the project will include the restoration of a long entrenched “farm ditch” back to stream status. Storm water from the site is being treated and slowed through the use vegetated swales, percolation zones and diffusing concentrated flows. |
